Essentially the dedication copy - with a fulsome printed dedication to the poet Henry Austin Dobson, plus also a signed 1903 New Year greetings card from Egerton Castle pasted to the free endpaper, alongside the bookplate of Alban Gobson, Austin Dobson's son, a printed "From Austin Dobson's Library" slip and a second printed slip stating: "Collection D. Books containing references to Austin Dobson". 8vo. xxiii, 302pp + [i] publisher's advertisement. Blue cloth with gilt lettering and decoration to the spine and upper board. With a frontispiece illustration, a title page decoration, and seventeen illustrations in the text, all by Fred Pegram. Some discolouration to the cloth at the backstrip, the tip of one corner bumped, and a little rubbing and wear to the backstrip ends, the rear outer hinge, and several other extremities. A little sporadic, mostly marginal fox spotting. A good sound copy of this sequel to the husband-and-wife duo's 1900 novel 'The Bath Comedy', considerably enhanced by these attributes.. Book.
