First edition - the card wrapper issue. This copy inscribed by the editor on the title page to Anne [Harvey] and Gervase [Farjeon]. Slim 8vo. 58pp + [xi] plates of reproductions of works by Mary Fedden and Julian Trevelyan. Slight production fault crease to the base of the first two leaves. A very good copy. Includes twenty-nine verse contributions (almost all of them hitherto unprinted) from Charles Causley, David Gascoyne, John Heath-Stubbs, Jeremy Hooker, Michael Horovitz, Kathleen Raine, Ruth Pitter, Jeremy Reed, Robin Skelton, Eric and Joan Stevens and others. A small newspaper clipping announcing Clodd's death has been taped to the inner front wrapper. Laid-in is an invitation card to Clodd's memorial service, and a folding itinerary for the service, which included a reading from Anne Harvey, the recipient of Stuart-Smith's inscription (Kathleen Raine and Jeremy Reed also read). Also laid-in is a signed type-written letter from Clodd to Harvey, dated December 2002 and eagerly ordering copies of her forthcoming book.. Book. Book Condition: Very Good.
