Describes the fund-raising for the ship, her construction in Glasgow, her journey to Nyasaland and her assembly at Fort Johnston and Malindi, the launch and the missionary work of the ship on the Lake; the ship was named after the Bishop of Nyasaland (who drowned in the Lake), was used for many years at Likoma & Malindi and around the Lake; she was sold to Malawi Railways & Harbours and is still used as a passenger ship around the shores of Lake Malawi/Nyasa; hardback, eps & a few pages lightly foxed, original red boards, gilt lettering, photograph of the ship as pastedown to front board, almost v.g., a very rare book indeed
