circa.1900. No. 271. Stereograph on tan board (3 1/2 x 7 inch) with title under the photos. Image of the Grand Entrance to the hotel built by Henry Flagler, of Standard Oil Fame, during 1885-1887. Designed by John Carrrer & Thomas Hastings in the Spanish Renaissance Revival Style with the interior done by Louis Comfort Tiffany, murals by George W. Maynard. It was the first poured-in-place concrete structure in the United States and among the first to be electrified. It was the center piece of Flagler's attempt to make St. Augustine the winter 'Newport' for the rich. It is now part of the Flagler College founded in 1968 and still stands. Very good clean copy, with upper right corner bumped.. Book. Book Condition: Collectible-Very Good. Binding: No Binding
