Maurice Baring (1874-1945) was an English man of letters who was a poet, novelist, essayist, dramatist, travel writer, and war correspondent. This pamphlet contains four essays written in 1896 by Baring when he attended the University of Hildesheim. The essays are written in French and were a school exercise for an examination in which French was an important subject. The following are the four essays: "Saint Bernard de Hildesheim," "Le Rosier de Hildesheim," "La Tentation de frere Ambroise de Hildesheim," and "Sensations de Hildesheim.". Book.
