From dw/dj's rear panel's blurb - missing text due to missing portion of dw/dj:
'It is holiday time. The Five go off lonely moorlands.Surely no adven up there! But one does - and a most extraord adventure too.
Trains run under the moorlands,as they often do today. But what is this old deserted railway yard used for? What is this mysterious "spook-train" that only runs at night? Where does it come from, and why does it run in darkness? The Five mean to solve the mystery, even if it means exploring those tunnels under the moors! The 'FIVES' books. The Series of full- length adventure stories which are the first that boys and girls love to read for themselves.
The series that is all about the same characters and all illustrated by the same artist,Eileen Soper. They are perfect books to collect.
The Series that was meant to end at the sixth [Five on Kirrin Island Again - my inclusion!] and hasn't.The children would not allow it,and Enid Blyton is glad. She likes the Five, too. She takes intense delight and interest in devising each new story of their exploits and makes it real from start to finish.'
