Another story about a group of children who form a band and call themselves The Put-Em-Rights.It was the Tramping Preacher who first gave them the idea, when he stirred their hearts and imaginations by saying that they could help the world along by trying to help put the wrong things right. It was not long before the band found their first task, and it fell to Micky to tackle the gardener about his unkindness to his dog. Then the tasks come rolling along, and soon each member of the little band has a particular person to help or problem to solve. The tasks they set themselves are ambitious, and their resolves do not always turn out as expected. In spite of valiant efforts, things get rather out of hand and almost too involved for them to manage; but The Put-Em-Rights,although sometimes despondent, are never really dismayed and they go on trying.
How they emerge from the difficulties which beset them comes at the end of the story,of course. It is full of fun and excitement, and the children in it are so real that they might easily be you and your own friends.
