Pages and covers are clean and intact overall but there is a vertical crease throughout the publication that is most apparent on front cover. Pages have light age toning and a few surface chips on fore-edge of text block. Binding is tight. A Very Good copy. Historical account of some of the events of the Civil War by Edward Bouton (1834-1941), an American Brevet Brigadier General who served in the Union Army during the Civil War. In the war, Bouton also served as Captain of the 1st Illinois Light Artillery and later as Colonel and Commander of the 59th U.S. Colored Infantry. He was brevetted as Brigadier General on February 28, 1865 for his military service and leadership during the Civil War.
