The first edition with these eight Pierre Falké stencil-coloured watercolours, limited to 840 copies printed on Montgolfier Frčres' Annonay vellum (this being #701). 8vo. 187pp. Grey canvas boards lettered in red at the spine and upper board. A short slit to the upper and lower gutters, a touch of wear to the base of the spine panel, and a little chafing to the somewhat darkened backstrip leaving several small worn areas. A short superficial crease to the tip of one blank preliminary leaf. Former owner name inked to the head of the front free endpaper, and a former owner name plate to the adjacent pastedown. A very nice copy, particularly crisp internally, and housed in the original stiff card slipcase, a little soiled and rubbed. The second book issued by Harrison of Paris, comprising seven of Harte's Wild West stories: 'The Luck of Roaring Camp', 'The Outcasts of Poker Flat', 'Mr. Thompson's Prodigal', 'A Monte Flat Pastoral', 'Tennessee's Partner', 'Mliss' and 'Brown of Calaveras'..
