An inked homily describes the scene-- A Cheerful Kitchen-- Bright and Gay--- Will Make All Troubles-- Fade Away -- 1939, CGG. Art textile shows two domestic Black workers, a cook and manservant, busy in a country kitchen. Made of fabrics sewn on linen, crayon and pencil-- in shades of peach, pink, gold, cream, black and brown.
