Circa 1930, sized 9 x 12 inches, with facsimile signature, very sharp, clean, and right. The subject, of Chicago, Illinois, was Dean of the faculty, and Professor of surgery and clinical surgery at the Hahnemann Medical College. He acquired his early education in the common schools and in the high school department of St. Mark's Academy. He was trained medically at Hahnemann Medical College, and earned his degree in 1888. His faculty work at Hahnemann began in 1889 after serving one year in the position of House Surgeon and lecturer on minor surgery. He moved up to Adjunct Professor of Surgery in 1893, Associate Professor of Surgery in 1895, Professor of Surgery and Clinical Surgery in 1897, and Dean of the Faculty in 1903. Additionally, Chislett was appointed Attending Surgeon to Cook County Hospital in 1894, and to Streeter Hospital in 1900.. Print. Book Condition: VG.
