Dust wrapper is not price-clipped and has no remainder marks. A posthumous collection of 116 poems by Ina Coolbrith (1841-1928). Coolbrith was a poet, writer, librarian, and prominent member of the Bay Area literary community. She was the first California Poet Laureate and first poet laureate of any state in the U.S. Twelve of the poems were first published in her book, Songs from the Golden Gate (1895), which was one of the books published in the Zamorano Eighty (1945). The Zamorano Eighty is a list of the eighty most significant early books on California history according to its compilers, who were bibliophiles and members of the Zamorano Club.
