Original letter handwritten on beige stationery in black ink with an original beige envelope. Stationery has a printed seal that reads, "Legation de Danemark, Washington." Envelope has a United States postage stamp and a handwritten address in black ink. Datelined November 8 ,1893 at 1715 H Street, N.W." Letter measures 8" x 10" (one leaf folded in half that open out to 16" x 10"). Envelope measures 8 3/4" x 4." One page, complete. Letter is very clean and intact. Slight offsetting in the top third of the letter from it being folded. A Fine copy. The envelope is split along almost all the edges but is clean and intact overall. Envelope is Very Good. Count F. de Reventlow was the first Danish ambassador to the United States. He was appointed on October 20, 1893. Reventlow signed his letter, "[V]ery respectfully, your obedient servant, F. Reventlow." Reventlow addresses T. O. Towles, Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives, and thanks him for some previous matter.. Manuscript. Book Condition: Collectible-Fine.
