A few marginal ink notations, including one on the t.p., which have been crossed through. Bound with: ANTONY, drame en cinq actes, en prose. Represente pour la premiere fois sur le Theatre de la Porte Saint-Martin, le mardi 3 mai 1831. Deuxieme edition. Paris: Auguste Auffray, Editeur, Passage du Caire, No. 54, 1832. Second edition (Munro, p. 19), the one which was performed, of the play whose basic subject were Dumas' infatuation with Melanie Waldor, his liason with her and his subsequent jealosy; for a number of years it remained one of the most popular plays on the Paris stage. Engraved frontispiece. [4],iv,208 pp. Mostly light foxing throughout; although pp. 1-48 are heavily foxed. 8vo. The three plays had been bound together in one volume but are now disbound: contemporary calf boards are present, but lacks the backstrip; the bookblock in several pieces. Library bookplate to front pastedown, but no other marks within. Offered as is.
