Original publisher's white paper wrappers with staple binding. Color illustration on front cover of baby sitting on a pillow and holding a toy duck. 10 1/2" x 13 1/2." Thirty-six pages, complete. Illustrations in black-and-white and color, complete. Advertisements interspersed throughout, many of which have black-and-white or color illustrations. Former owner's address printed in lower-right corner on front. Pages and covers are clean and intact overall except for age toning, the occasional light stain or mark, a horizontal crease at center, and small chips at the corners not affecting text. A Very Good copy. Woman's World was a general-interest magazine aimed toward women that included a variety of features such as fictional short stories, life advice columns, and articles about health, fashion, and housekeeping. The following are some of the features in this issue: "Women and Moving Pictures: And the Part to be Played in Improving the Films," "The Business of Marriage, no. 2: Marrying for Money," "Jane's Letters: On the Charm and Style of the Season's Clothes," "The Price" [religious advice to guide one's character], "Adversity and Housekeeping: Chapter 2--How We Market," "Use of Honey in Cooking," "When the Milk Sours: Make some of the appetizing things given here," "Sewing is Made Easier: So Now I'll Learn to Sew," "The Care of the Hair," "A Talk on Twilight Sleep" [cautions against the use of "Twilight Sleep," implemented through narcophia and scopolamine, to alleviate the pains of childbirth], "talks on Well Known Songs: Studies in Music," "The Children's World" [children's section], "A Dress of Two Materials," "Suits and Dresses for Autumn Designed to Suit Everyone," "For Mother and Baby" [clothing patterns], and "Frocks for Young Girls." The ads promote different businesses, products, and services including Victrola, Crisco, Quaker Oats, Royal Baking Powder, Bon Ami, Arbuckles coffee, and Colgate's Ribbon Dental Cream.. Book.
