First Edition (first printing). 8vo. 144pp. Red cloth lettered in gold at the spine. Just a trace of very light toning to the leaf margins, and several tiny creases to the extreme tips of several corners. Very good indeed in very good non-price-clipped dust wrapper, lightly chafed at the spine panel ends and at one other extremity. Thomas' screenplay, based on the 1839-42 Rebecca Riots, was written in 1948 but not filmed until over forty years later, and is the closest Dylan came to realising his ambition to write a complete film scenario. The filmed version features Peter O'Toole in one of his very best 'drunken gentry' roles and his appearance at the fancy dress ball attired as Queen Victoria is a treat not to be missed!. Book.
