They convey wonderfully both the innocence and excitement of what was to become an epic journey" (Publisher's blurb). "One Mississippi" is the sequel, if you will, to that epic journey, which resulted in Soth's masterpiece, "Sleeping By The Mississippi" (1999). An absolute "must-have" title for Alec Soth collectors. This is an Artist Proof and is indicated as such ("A/P") in pencil on the Back Limitation Page. It comes with an original color print that is very prominently and beautifully signed in black ink-pen on verso by Alec Soth. This title is a great art photography book. As a regular trade edition (that has since been reissued in multiple subsequent editions), "Sleeping By The Mississippi" did not come with a print. This one does, and it's a beauty. As far as we know, this is the only copy of the Artist Proof available online and is in especially fine condition: Clean, crisp, and bright, a pristine beauty. Please note: Copies available online command more than $800, which is where this title's value is headed. This is surely an accessible and lovely alternative.
