Thefourth side of the square where we stood held the wideentrance-way, the office, the manager's flat, a restaurant, anda coffee bar which over-flowed out under gay umbrellas on thecourtyard side, on a quarter-circular terrace raised three lowsteps above the rest of the courtyard.The whole place was white, with dark blue and pale pinkdoors and awnings, pale pink geraniums cascading from darkblue pots, and had an air of infinite peace, possibly partlyconjured up by the Motel sign.
