The wraps are quite edge worn, and the back top and bottom corners are creased, although the binding remains strong and the wraps square and bright. Internally, the majority of the pages within have a very slight and unnoticeable crease marking at the top corner. Despite this, the pages are immaculate and crisp. There are no markings or inscriptions. An altogether charming book. JV.K. Book Condition: Very Good. Binding: Softcover

Emslie, Anne : A Journey Through the Owl House

The Penguin Group (SA) (Pty) Ltd, 1997

ISBN 0140255567

148 pages (complete). Ex-library (Cape Town City Libraries) copy with consequent residue, debris, stamps, annotations and labels, wear and marking. The book is benign and characterful. Written by Art Historian, Anne Emslie (who specialises in Outsider Art), has written a wonderfully, warm, responsive book about the extraordinary Owl House, deep in the Karoo. The book has handling and thumbing wear and marks all about. The cover is sure with some marks from usage and handling. The spine has a short length of tape attached to the foot. The faces have scuffing and are yet genial and comfortable. The covers have an adhesive laminated cover. The pages have evidence of use throughout. They are benevolent, exciting, explicity enthralled, clear, diligent, competent and very generous. fk. Book Condition: Fair. Binding: Soft cover. Jacket: No Jacket
