circa.1870. Original Carte-de-Visite Portrait (2 3/8 x 4 inch) with publisher's name on the backside. Frederick William Nicholas Charles (1831-188) was the only son of William I, Emperor of Germany and served as Crown Prince for 27 years before serving as Emperor for 99 days in 1888. He died of cancer of the larynx and was succeeded by his son. He married Princess Victoria, daughter of Queen Victoria, and was more liberal than his father or country for that matter. His ruling name was Frederick III, German Emperor. Image of his head only wearing the German Iron Cross. Fine clean copy.. Book. Book Condition: Collectible-Fine.
