Top lid is covered in yellow paper and features an illustration of Benjamin Franklin busy at work as a printer. Red cardboard insert included to hold parts. No date, circa 1930s-1960s. Box measures 8" x 6." Items within the kit of varying sizes. Two stamps included. Six-row stamp: 4 1/4" x 2." Three-row 2 3/4" x 1." Box is clean and intact overall but has some dampstaining and tape repair at the edges. Tweezers, stamp blocks, container, and paper are clean and intact overall. About half of the miniature types are intact but the rest appear melted. Parts come loose, and some may be missing. A Good copy. This is a miniature stamping or printing set in which one can insert mini types into the given stamps and customize and print their own messages. Included in this kit are miniature rubber types (letters), a metal tweezer, two types of stamps that hold the types (three rows and six rows), a small metal container (may contain ink pad), and ten miniature blank leaves of paper. No ink included. Instructions on top lid: "Set the type or words as you would write them, but from right to left, ink stamp lightly on pad, then press evenly and firmly upon article to be stamped.".
