The binding is darkened at spine and top-edges of boards; fore-corned are rubbed and rounded. One leaf (E2) has marginal loss at bottom forecorner, not affecting text. It is clean within, and a sound and about very good copy overall. Mme de Genlis (1746-1830) was a prolific and very popular writer in her day, as well as a talented teacher. Her works were translated almost immediately into English.
