This book is quite interesting and useful to anyone involved with magic sym bols in any way. Each element of a symbol is explored in isolation - circle , arc, horizontal and vertical line, etc. - which enables the reader to beg in interpreting almost any symbol encountered, or indeed to create his/her own. More complex symbols are also investigated, such as the Fish, Ankh, Pe ntagram, Monad, etc. and lead up to examinations of highly complex symbolic representations such as Alchemical Illustrations. There are also sections on such people as, John Dee, Jacob Boheme, Robert Fludd, etc. though nothin g more than a page long. While this book is interesting and helpful to anyo ne new to the theory of magical symbolism, it is not very in-depth.
