Letter reads: "Cambridge, Feb. 24, 1834, My dear Sir, "Supposing you may feel anxious to know that your letter of the 22nd has been read, I hasten to say that the subject will be particularly attended to on Friday, as you request. In haste, your friend obediently, S. Greenleaf." Letter is clean and intact overall. Simon Greenleaf (1783-1853) was an American lawyer, jurist, and professor. Greenleaf wrote several books on law. His best-known work is the Treatise on the Law of Evidence (three volumes, 1842-1853).
