This item was apparently bound either stand-alone, or in some magazine as an advertising supplement, as two tiny holes are noted along spine edge suggesting binder's string (?). According to the text from the biographical sketch, Dr. Hamilton was very well-known in every State of the Union, all the British Colonies, Mexico, the West Indies, and nearly every part of Europe and the East, for his cures of liver, lung, and blood disorders to which he devoted himself after having recovered at age 17 from consumption.
