Fifty-one poems, the author's uncommon first collection of verse. Ian Macdonald Horobin (1899-1976) was a British Conservative Party politician, and a veteran of the First and Second World Wars. He served with the Royal Naval Reserve and the Royal Air Force during the Great War, and rejoined the RAF during WWII, serving as a Squadron Leader until he was captured, imprisoned and tortured by the Japanese. He was imprisoned once more in later life, serving four years for homosexuality and indecent assault.
