Contains 'A Berlin Diary' (Autumn 1930), 'Sally Bowles' - which was originally published as a separate volume by same publisher (Hogarth),'On Ruegen Island' (Summer 1931),'The Nowaks','The Landauers',and 'A Berlin Diary' (Winter 1932-3). The first 'Berlin Dairy' (Autumn 1930), along with 'The Nowaks' and 'The Landauers',have already appeared in John Lehmann's 'New Writing'.
