Captioned-text contributed by twenty-two British writers and artists including John Betjeman (his poems 'Through those broad streets to Whitley's once' and 'Oh had I the wings of an aeroplane'; neither of which have ever been reprinted), John Minton, Laurie Lee, Henry Green, Keith Vaughan, T.S.Eliot, John Lehmann, Alan Ross, Anthony Powell, Stephen Spender, C Day Lewis, William Plomer, Roy Fuller &c. A hint of discolouration to board extremities and a little light spotting to edges of several preliminary leaves. The first two leaves slightly tender. A very nice copy in slightly chipped non-price-clipped dust wrapper with a small area of loss to head of spine panel, accompanied by a little fading. Really quite uncommon.. Book.
