Top edge and several preliminary leaves lightly spotted. Backstrip ends fractionally rubbed else a very good copy. No dust wrapper called for. Betjeman contributes the seven-page essay 'Colour and the Interior Decorator' which he concludes with seven 'general rules', the final and certainly most important of which is "Avoid most shades of brown".
