Being the further adventures of Deeley Montford "Steeley" Delaroy, gentleman adventurer, sometime air-smuggler,more recently unofficial police agent.Told by his war-time comrade, and partner in his adventures,Captain Eric "Tubby" Wilde. A Scotland Yard investigator on the trail of a gang of international crooks and dope-smugglers dies in a plane crash - but not before he has given a vital clue to Brian Ballantyne,a newspaper reporter and a friend of 'Steeley' Delaroy. Brilliant amateur detective work by Steeley causes suspicion to fall on a Greek millionaire, one Count Cortusoides. Subsequent events confirm his suspicions and by boasting of their former exploits as contraband smugglers,Steeley and Tubby Wilde join the Count as pilots. Forced down in France on a flight to Germany, they discover that they are carrying stolen Air Ministry papers. On meeting the Count a fight ensues for the papers, but Steeley is able to ensure their safe return to the Authorities when he meets an R.A.F squadron-leader. Steeley and Tubby then return to England, where the Count surprises them at his headquarters.Another gun-fight,the police arrive in time to capture some of the gang and the rest, including the Count, are killed in trying to escape by plane.
