Spine of the dust-jacket browned with creases and closed tears which have been internally taped with acid tape. One closed tear is 8 centimetres and the other is 7.5 centimetres. The rear flap of the dust-jacket has insect damage resulting in loss along the fold of 12 centimetres x 0.4 centimetres.The base of the spine of the dust-jacket shows two small insect holes. There is some insect damage to the front panel of the dust-jacket resulting in almost total loss of the "s" in "Finnegans" and partial loss to the "N" in Finnegans". Finnegans Wake was originally published in 1939 and was Joyce's final novel. It took him seventeen years to complete. Many scholars or Joyceans consider it to be the high point of modernist literature. Although this is a second printing of the book, it is still a scarce edition of the book with 28 pages of the corrections of the misprints in the First Edition at the rear. Hard Cover.
