(In 1942 Wheeler, then Exhibition Director of the Museum of Modern Art, invited Wind to deliver a series of pioneering and occasionally somewhat controversial lectures at the museum). 4to. 78pp. Buckram-backed paper-covered boards with vellum tips, lettered in gold at the spine. The buckram at the backstrip very lightly faded, and with some light surface marking to the rear board. A number of leaves uncut at the fore edge margin. Very good indeed. No dust wrapper. Seventeen French songs, each with an introduction by the author who also provides an English-language translation alongside the original French lyrics, accompanied with music drawn by Paul Koch.
