Printed Wrapper. Good. First Edition. Quarto. Catalogue of a hoard of medieval Islamic copper coins of the Golkonda Kingdom of India. Includes translations of the Islamic texts on the coins, and many photographic plates of the coins as well as plates of inked rubbings. Map of India showing location of the Kingdom, and a nice color reproduction of an illuminated manuscript page showing a Qutub Shahi King. Another color plate is an example of Qutub Shahi calligraphy. Extensive text of the history of the Shahs is in English. Though a specialized numismatic field, this is a fascinating study for anyone interested in the subject of Islamic coins. Still tightly if somewhat crudely bound, but paper on spine is peeling. Cover with small amount of tearing, and small hold at top of paper cover extending into top of title page. No content affected. Otherwise clean internally. Scarce numismatic item.. Book Condition: Very Good Click here for full details of this book, to ask a question or to buy it on-line.
