Lee, Anna : Autograph Letter Signed. Anna Lee

Autograph letter signed (5 3/4 x 7 3/4 inch) front and back along with a christmas card and envelope. Dated 21, 1986. Anna Lee (1916-2004) was a successful English/American movie actress who starred in such movies as HOW GREEN WAS MAY VALLEY (1941); THE GHOST AND MRS MUIR (1947); and the SOUND OF MUSIC (1965). Later in life she had a second career on the TV soap opera GENERAL HOSPITAL. She was the wife of novelist Robert Nathan. The letter accompanied the Christmas card Ms. Lee sent to her friends Bod and Betty Young in Sacramento. In the letter she writes of the unexpected death of her oldest son John two weeks earlier in Scotland who was 37 years old and had died of a heart attack. She writes "It all happened so suddenly that the Studio could not write me out from 'General Hospital' in time to attend his funeral'. Robert Young Jr. (1927-d. 2008 ) was a Sacramento author.
