Lindsay, Kathleen : He Should Have Been King

Hutchinson, 1954

The book itself is slightly cocked. However, aside from some marginal edge-wear, there is little marring its appearance, and the silver gilt on the spine has remained bright despite the book's age. The dust jacket has fared less well; there are multiple chips, creases and tears out of the jacket, particularly along the edges. Apart from the publisher's name on the spine being partially cut off, this does not affect the legibility of the jacket as a whole and its condition has been determined according to its age.A previous owner's inscription is found on the front end page in blue ink, along with a previous retailer's sticker on the front pastedown. There are also small initials in black ink on the back pastedown. The first and last few pages are a touch tanned and foxed and there may be some sporadic foxing throughout the pages along the edges. Altogether tightly bound and presents charmingly in cellophane.. Book Condition: Very Good. Binding: Hardcover. Jacket: Very Good

First Edition.
