From 1936-1940, he worked as a WPA editor, editing the California Historic Landmark Series. During this same time, he also wrote articles on State Parks and historic places. He was a friend of the writer Harold Speakman. This collection consists of 4 documents:. 1) "Make the Birdie Sing". 1 page, handwritten and signed by Wing Humorous poem. 2) "Let Snookie Catch 'em" 1 page. Handwritten. Humorous poem. 3) "There are three parts." 2 pages. Handwritten Philosophy. 4) "An Old Memory" 2 pages. Typewritten, signed by Wing. Short fiction.
