Twenty-six reactors of varying shape andsize were built. By the mid 1970s they weregenerating just over 10% of Britain's electricity - orless than 2% of Britain's total energy requirements.Magnox was superseded in the mid 1960s by theAdvanced Gas-cooled Reactor (AGR).
