B. Yeats, 'The Tower and William Shakespeare, 'Richard II').                   Visually the exterior appearance is still exceptional, and even internally, the book is also in an exceptional condition/state of preservation and presentation for a book of its 20-year-old age.It is only the minimal faults described that prevents a slightly higher overall grading.Despite them,it really is still an exceptional copy and a welcome addition to Mortimer's works.                                'Let's choose executors and talk of wills.' So said Shakespeare's Richard II at the time of his defeat and approaching death. It's a natural instinct - to put one's home in order and decide exactly what to pass on to the next generation. Pondering this question,John Mortimer reflects on the inheritance he received: a house and garden certainly, but something else for which he has been equally grateful - an approach to life and a view of our brief existence suspended between two vast eternities. He discusses the sort of things he would pass on in turn and offers an instructive, often comic, account of what a decent life might be. 'Where There's a Will' is a worldly-wise,never world-weary,wonderfully entertaining, occasionally outrageous and always thought-provoking.Author died 16th January,2009.          Please contact seller, for correct shipping/P+p quotes - particularly ALL overseas buyers - BEFORE ordering through the order page!         N.B.
