The author's first book. Inscribed by the author. Original publisher's green cloth binding with gray dust wrapper in mylar. Both the front cover of the book and front panel of the dust wrapper feature an illustration of a face and leaves with silver and green coloring. Silver foil lettering on spine of the book. 6 1/4" x 8 1/4." Sixty-three pages, complete. Author's inscription on front free endpaper in black ink pen: "To Shannon, Than you for a delightful Seattle experience, especially that of meeting you--Very best of luck in the craft. Diana O Hehir." Pages and covers of the book are very clean and intact. Binding is tight. Dust wrapper is clean and intact except for a faint stain on the front panel measuring about 3/4" x 1/2." Dust wrapper is price-clipped. No remainder marks. A fine book in a fine dust wrapper. The author's first book, a collection of poems. From the front flap of the dust wrapper: "Diana O Hehir, winner of the 1976 Devins Award for Poetry, says, 'I have wanted to take chances in my poetry, not just for shock value or for excitement, but also because there seem to be some things that can be said only with risk. I think of my poetry as rhythmic, visual, and surreal ... I hope that the poems communicate strong feelings; I have strong feelings when I write them.'". Book. Book Condition: Fine.
