Original black-and-white publicity photograph showing a film still from the movie, Green Fire (1954). The scene shows women being thrown baskets from people standing above on a balcony, which they will use to harvest the coffee bean crop. "1651-10" printed in lower-right corner on front. Green stamp on back: "Approved, June 24 1952, Advertising Code Administration, Hollywood." Typed description on back. Photo is very clean and intact overall but has a few wrinkles at the corners. A Near Fine copy. Green Fire is a drama about a man named Rian Mitchell (played by Stewart Granger) and a local coffee grower named Catherine Knowland (played by Grace Kelly) in Colombia. All sorts of problematic events occur due to Mitchell's preoccupation with wealth and his rediscovery of an emerald mine. Description on back: "Coffee Time...In this scene from M-G-M's 'Green Fire' filmed in South America, women workers on a coffee plantation are being given baskets so they may go into the fields and harvest the coffee bean crop after the men quit to aid Stewart Granger and Paul Douglas in their search for an Emerald mine. Grace Kelly portrays the owner of the plantation in the Cinemascope production which was directed by Andrew Marton and produced by Armand Deutsch. 1651-10.". Photographic Image.
