His novels were much appreciated by Lawrence and Forster, and he later translated, to much acclaim, the Q'uran. This novel was the result of a memorable visit to Egypt on the invitation of the Egyptian Prime Minister's wife. The covers are worn and scuffed. As it is a Colonial edition the covers have elaborate imperial decoration. The spine has a handwritten number. However the covers are placid and benign. The contents are in very good condition.
