Original publisher's gray paper wrappers with staple binding. Full-page color illustration on front of cars sidewinding on a steep mountain road to Pikes Peak. Back cover has a black-and-white map with red and blue lines indicating major routes to the summit. No date, circa 1920s. 7 3/4" x 8 1/2." Unpaginated, sixteen pages (including covers), complete. Many illustrations in black-and-white and color, complete. Pages and covers are very clean and intact overall. Binding is tight. Covers have minuscule soling, a small light stain on front, and slight wear to extremities. A Very Good copy. Eye-catching pamphlet that promotes tourism to the Pikes Peak region. Predominantly illustrations with very brief captions. Most of the illustrations show the famous Pikes Peak Cog Railway and winding dirt roads that can be traveled by car. The last two pages have concise text that describes Pikes Peak, ways to reach the famous summit (namely, the Cog Railway and the Pikes Peak Auto Highway), and accommodations such as the Summit Hotel and Glen Cove Inn. The Pikes Peak Cog Railway, also known as the Broadmoor Manitou and Pikes Peak Cog Railway, was built in 1889 and is still in use to this day. It underwent refurbishments in 2017 and is currently only one of three remaining cog railways in the United States.. Book. Book Condition: Collectible-Very Good. Binding: Soft cover
