The young author's 8th appearance in SEVENTEEN, the first of which was anonymous. Poem is at page 91, and includes a cameo portrait and short biographical sketch: "Sylvia Plath, from Wellesley, in Massachusetts, is a nineteen-year-old student at Smith College. You will remember her as the author of 'Initiation,' second-prize winner in our last short-story contest. It was published in the January issue of SEVENTEEN. Says Sylvia about her sonnet, 'I was heading back home and realized that, just as I had gotten rooted in my summer habitat, I was cast adrift again.
