Real Photo Post Card: Untitled (Collection of Four Photo Post Cards)

Collection of four original black and white photo postcards. No date, circa 1904-1918. 3 1/2" x 5 1/2." The style of "AZO" stamp box on the back was used from 1904-1918. Postcards are unused but have brief captions in black ink on the back describing the subject matter. Slight age toning on the front and back. Near Fine copies. This postcard shows various angles of a residence, the birthplace of Lorenzo Dow Fargo (1824-1909), who was a pioneer of Lake Mills, Wisconsin. He donated a gift in 1899 to fund the construction of a library in Lake Mills. The library was completed in 1902 and featured Neo-Gothic Revival architecture. The library was named the L. D. Fargo Public Library, which is still open to this day.. Postcard. Book Condition: Collectible-Near Fine (Near Fine). Binding: No Binding
