Small 8vo. 76pp. The title page printed in black and red. Stiff boards with an integral vellum paper dust wrapper. Top edge lightly spotted. A virtually fine copy in original patterned card slipcase, with just a hint of wear to several extremities. These two Jefferies' essays were originally printed in 'Longmans Magazine' and subsequently collected in 'The Open Air' (1885) and 'Field and Hedgerow' (1889) respectively.
