Some quite notable fox-spotting to a score or preliminary leaves, and also to four of five concluding leaves, with a little further quite light spotting elsewhere. Armorial bookplate of Egerton Winder Ruck to the front pastedown. A good copy. The third of Jefferies' country books, originally serialised in the 'Pall Mall Gazette' in twenty-two instalments between March-July 1879 before appear in bookform three months later. 500 copies ere printed.
