The book states that he was The Redruth Aladdin who gave the World New Lamps for old. The last page sets out the list of his inventions from Gas Lighting to steam carriges and he was also looking at utilising waterfalls and tides as sources of energy this was in about 1840. Condition pages loose and brown pin marks in centre Cover age darkened so only sold as a very good reading copy. Condition and scarcity have been taken into consideration when pricing.
