Program for a performance of Madame (or, Madam) Butterfly by the Fujiwara Opera Company. Fujiwara Opera was founded in 1934 by Yosie Fujiwara (1898-1976), a Japanese operatic tenor. As noted on this program, Fujiwara was the company's director. Notably, Fujiwara Opera is still in business to this day and is Japan's first and oldest professional opera company.. Ephemera.
