This program lists the cast, ballet's acts and scenes, staff of S. Hurok, and ticket information. Uday Shankar (1900-1977) was an Indian dancer and choreographer. He was a pioneer of dance who became well-known for his fusion of Indian classical dance and European theatrical technique. He helped to popularize modern dance in India. Sol Hurok (1888-1974) was a Russian-American theater impresario. Hurok managed many eminent performing artists under his famous marquee, "S. Hurok Presents.". Ephemera. Book Condition: Very Good.
