Erasmus CulpepperJr. migrated from Nash County, NC and was the first Culpepper to settle in Lower Peachtree, Wilcox County, Alabama. "Rec'd of Erasmus Culpepper Jr. (- -) (- -) of Erasmus Culpepper (- -) deed the following named negroes allotted and set off to Mrs. Harriett Pate wife of J. F. Pate, on the division of the negroes belonging to said Estate to wit , Chaney, Daniel, Mose, Jerry and Henry valued at Four Thousand five Hundred Dollars. J.F.
